Hi, I’m Lilly Clemmons!

I’m an Apparel Merchandising and Product Development student at the University of Arkansas, with minors in Marketing and Accounting. I’ve always been drawn to the fashion industry and its power to help people express themselves creatively, but what truly excites me is the strategy behind it. I’m especially passionate about retail strategy, trend forecasting, product assortment, and visual merchandising.

Merchandising stands out to me because it blends creativity with performance. I love analyzing sales data, tracking trend movement, and translating those insights into product assortments and visual stories that drive measurable results.

During my Summer 2025 internship with Wrangler’s Global Merchandising team, I developed a strong understanding of the product lifecycle, the importance of maintaining a cohesive brand story, and the value of collaboration across large cross-functional teams. In my role at RiffRaff Boutique, where I progressed from Sales Associate to Assistant Visual Merchandiser, I gained hands-on experience working directly with customers, adapting quickly in a fast-paced retail environment, and seeing firsthand how intentional product placement can significantly impact sales performance.

Additionally, through my involvement with the University’s student-run Fashion and Lifestyle Magazine, where I advanced from writer to Co-Head Editor, I’ve had the opportunity to lead diverse creative teams, build structured timelines, and guide projects from initial concept to final execution. These experiences strengthened my leadership skills and reinforced the importance of purpose-driven planning and collaboration.

My long-term goal is to build a career in merchandising or buying where I can combine analytical thinking with creative execution. I’m driven to create compelling, commercially successful retail experiences that not only perform strongly but also reinforce and elevate brand identity.
